2023 Sale Report

On Saturday, May 6th, beef producers packed the seats at the Canandaigua Stockyards sale barn for the 2023 NY Beef Producers’ Association Annual Herd Builder Sale. The sale grossed over $53,000 with 36 lots of open heifers. 18 registered heifers averaged $2250 and 18 commercial heifers brought an average of $1386. High selling lots were consigned by Platinum Rose Show Stock of Pavilion, RLW Cattle of Lyndonville, and Finger Lakes Cattle Company of the Finger Lakes region. The crowd was packed with smiles and happy faces. NYBPA would like to thank the consignors of the sale, those who attended and bought or bid on lots, DV Auctions, Scotty Crawford, Rance Long, and Trowbridge Farms for all their help organizing, promoting, and running this sale. A BIG thank you goes to Canandaigua Stockyards for allowing us to have our sale there. Everyone’s support of the sale does not go unnoticed!
