2024 Program Information
The NYBPA Supreme Beef Female Program started in 2010 and works to highlight the Supreme Beef Female from each county fair across New York during the current show season. Each winning county fair Supreme Beef Female, whether it is a cow/calf pair or a heifer, will receive a banner and a windbreaker sponsored by American Crop Insurance, NY Simmental Association, and Locust Lane Herefords in Linwood, NY. The county fair winners are then invited to the Supreme Show on Beef Day, Tuesday, August 27th, at the NYS Fair in Syracuse. This show at NYS Fair is sponsored by Purina Animal Nutrition. The Supreme Cow/Calf and Supreme Heifer each get $1000 and Reserve, $500. In order to be eligible to show at the Supreme Show, beef females need to have won a 2024 New York county fair, thus representing that county fair (also includes the NYJBPA Preview Show). SUPREME SHOW - 2023 NYS FAIR
The Supreme Show at the NYS Fair in Syracuse is Beef Day, Tuesday, August 29th at 3pm. This show is sponsored by Purina and is judged by 5 judges. The show starts with the Parade of Champions followed by the Cow/Calf Show then the Heifer Show. Following the show is a reception for the show exhibitors. Thank you to NY Angus Association, NY Hereford Breeders, NY Red Angus Association, and NY Simmental Association for sponsoring the reception food and Montross Beef Cattle for sponsoring the drinks.
NYBPA is currently looking for Class Division Sponsors for the 2023 Supreme Show. Division sponsorships are $50. Sponsors will be named in the newsletter, on the website, social media, and announced at the show. Email NYBPA Executive Secretary if interested in a division sponsorship.
